Wildflower Ceremony - Intimate At Home Wedding

Rachel and Mark were married at Rachel's family home almost exactly a year after their initial wedding date was postponed due to covid-19. However, there were no hard feelings or sense of time lost as these two got ready with their closest pals. We opted for a first look in the backyard by some truly amazing evergreen trees and boy howdy - the reaction they had to seeing each other was so perfect and over the top I can't think of a sweeter first look I've shot. We wrapped up a quick portrait sesh, kicked out the family photos in record time and got everyone back inside to cool off for the half hour before ceremony time.

This wedding day was really tailor made for the couple and the ceremony was no exception. Mark and Rachel shared vows with each other that were deep and heartfelt and poetic, and I really had to hold it together to get into position for the first kiss. The celebrations started as they exited the aisle and we snapped a handful of group photos before heading on to the tent where the reception would be held.

Delicious food, a killer playlist and beautiful styling awaited guests in the tent. After dinner - the first and parent dances, toasts and speeches wrapped up the formal reception highlights and the dance floor got to open up properly. Rachel's playlist curation skill is one of their defining character traits in my mind and they really turned it up to 11 with this reception mix. I ended up snagging the link for myself and I've got it playing as I write this very blog! The party was still in full swing when I called it a night and headed home, but I still managed to boogie woogie a bit with camera in hand.
